How to Choose a Hairpiece

Choosing a hair piece can be tricky for everyone especially first timers. At LeMetric we offer free hair consultations for new clients who don’t know how to choose the right hairpiece. We base the consult and hairpiece on the following criteria:

  1. Do you want to wear the piece all of the time or no?lemetric_faboverfifty_before_after_hairpiece
  2. Do you want to wash it?
  3. Do you want to take it out?

From there, we take into consideration that during manufacturing we will combine the clients hair with the hair we provide. We match the hair color and texture. During the consult we will determine where you need additional hair and how much of it will be added to your piece. Then, depending on how long and often the piece will be used we choose the base of the piece; we offer bases made of lace or polyurethane that make our pieces both natural looking and breathable.

Next, is deciding whether you want your piece taped on, clipped on, glued on, or sewn on. This all depends, again, on your lifestyle. We recommend spending the money on a well-fitted, custom piece that will lay flat and be comfortable. Hairpieces are all up to you and your lifestyle.

Before making the decision to pursue the purchase of a hairpiece and changing your life, ask yourself:

  1. How much money do I want to spend?
  2. What will this hairpiece do for me and my lifestyle?
  3. Am I going to wear it everyday?
  4. Am I good with doing my own hair?
